Taupia vs the alternatives
Run your whole home with less hassle and more control
Taupia is an AI household-admin app that puts every bill in your home in one place. It compares energy, broadband and mobile. Water, council tax and TV Licence sit alongside them, organised rather than compared. Taupia is free because it does not bundle your payment, so there is no single monthly amount for a fee to sit inside.
Taupia is free. Give your address for provider quotes in about two minutes, or upload a bill you already have.

What do you need help with?
I want to understand whether I am overpaying
Upload the bills you already have and Taupia reads them: its AI agents pull out the tariff, unit rate, usage, contract end date and any exit fee. From that it checks what energy, broadband and mobile are going for against what you pay now, and nothing changes until you approve it.

Give Taupia your address and it comes back with provider quotes for energy, broadband and mobile in about two minutes, so you can pick on price or on whatever else matters to you. Water, council tax and TV Licence go on the same move-in list, organised rather than compared.

Price comparison sites
A comparison at one moment
Price comparison sites can help you find a deal when you are ready to switch. It is a point-in-time decision: the bill, contract, provider messages and changes that follow are still household admin to handle.

Bills packages
One monthly amount for several bills
Bills packages can put several household bills behind one monthly amount. That can reduce visible work, but the underlying suppliers, rates and choices can be less visible. What is included and how the contract works varies by provider.
- One Utility BillPackages energy plus the extras you pick. Same contract and charges as Fused.
- Split The BillsGives each housemate their own Direct Debit for a share of one package.
- Epic Student BillsStudent packages from £18 to £22 per person a week, based on five housemates.
- Fused BillsStudent packages on tenancy-length terms. Same company and contract as One Utility Bill.
- The BunchOne monthly payment, plus a £10 subscription based on bill payers where it manages more than one service. Its own terms say cheaper individual deals are likely.
03Where Taupia sits
A simpler home, without a black box
Where Taupia sits
Taupia sits between comparison sites and bills packages. A comparison site prices one bill at one moment and hands the result back to you. A bills package takes the admin away by folding several bills into one monthly amount, and the suppliers, rates and choices behind that amount get harder to see. Taupia keeps all of it visible and still does the running around: AI agents read your bills and pull out the tariff, usage, contract end date and any exit fee, other agents watch energy, broadband and mobile rates against what you pay now, and nothing switches until you approve it.
Two ways to start
Give Taupia your address and it comes back with provider quotes for energy, broadband and mobile in about two minutes, so you can pick on price or on whatever else matters to you. Or upload the bills you already have and Taupia reads them and takes it from there.
The full list, and one recommendation from it
Either way you see the full list of what providers are offering, and Taupia recommends one from it and shows why it picked that one. It asks a few questions first, so the recommendation fits how your household actually lives rather than how the industry words things, and the full list stays there for anyone who wants to check the pick against it.
What reaches you after the switch
After that, provider messages sent to TaupiaMail stay with the rest of your home admin: TaupiaMail is a Taupia email address you give your providers or forward messages to, where AI agents read what arrives and pull out price changes, contract end dates and anything needing a decision.
Why Taupia is free
Taupia is free, and the reason is structural rather than a launch offer. It does not bundle your payment, so there is no single monthly amount for a fee to sit inside: you pay each provider its own published rate and Taupia runs the admin around it. A provider pays Taupia commission when a switch completes, and you approve every switch before it happens.
If you share the home
In a flatshare, Taupia allocates and tracks the supplier setup tasks, then splits every bill automatically, Splitwise style. Each housemate holds a percentage, the share is worked out from the real bill amount so it updates when the bill does, and Taupia records and flags outstanding shares and sends reminders instead of one housemate having to do the chasing. Everyone sees the same shares and who has settled. Taupia does not move money between housemates.
A utility account usually has one named account holder, and that person is the one the supplier bills. Taupia can send a request to add further people, but the supplier decides, and nothing Taupia records changes what the named holder owes the supplier.
Comparing bills packages against each other rather than against Taupia? All eight packages, and what each one publishes.
