Fused Bills puts a student house's energy, broadband, TV and water on one monthly payment, picked service by service rather than taken as a fixed bundle. Worth knowing before you compare the two: Fused is a trading name of One Utility Bill Ltd, which also sells under the One Utility Bill brand on separate terms, so those two brands are one company offering different products. It is an intermediary rather than a supplier: it names Octopus Energy, British Gas, Virgin Media, Sky and BT as the partners it arranges services with, and says it makes more than 20 phone calls on your behalf so you do not have to. Contracts run 9, 10, 11 or 12 months to match a tenancy. Taupia takes the other route: you keep your own named accounts with real suppliers, split the actual bill with your housemates, and let Taupia monitor the market and flag renewal dates before they arrive.
