How do I tell Octopus Energy I am moving house?
Short answer
Tell Octopus through your online account, ideally as early as you can: it asks for the new address, your moving dates and closing and opening meter readings. If you take Octopus with you, it says your tariff and Direct Debit stay the same. Intelligent Octopus Go and Flux cannot move, so you reapply after moving.
If you leave, email Octopus your move-out date and closing readings; it says the final bill comes 7 to 10 days later.

- Intelligent Octopus Go and Intelligent Octopus Flux cannot move: you remove the old devices from your account and reapply once you have moved in.
- After the move, Octopus sends a bill showing the end of usage at the old home and the start of usage at the new one.
